EGU-type electrostatic precipitators are designed for cleaning non-explosive process gases and aspiration air from 250 ° C to 330 ° C (according to the permissible temperature for the body frame) with a exhausting up to 10 kPa (1000 kgf /m²).
Electrostatic precipitators are used at the enterprises of the energy industry, ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, the building materials industry and other sectors of the national economy.
Electrostatic precipitators are one- or two-section devices of rectangular shape with external thermal insulation consist of two to five or more electric fields installed sequential along the gas flow.
The core of the electrostatic precipitator consists of lamellar collecting electrodes and needle corona electrodes.
Precipitating electrodes of each field, placed parallel to the axis of the gas inlet, divide the cross section of the electrostatic precipitator into separate gas passages, in the center of which are the discharge electrodes.
The corona electrodes of the frame structure are mounted on the suspension frames, which, outside the active zone, are based on insulators located in the crossbars of the housing. The pitch along the axes of like electrodes (width of a single gas passage) is 400mm. Such a step between the electrodes allows you to set the optimal number of electrodes in the cases of electrostatic precipitators of the type UG, EGA and EGBM, to ensure the greatest active cross section and to reduce the mass of the internal mechanical equipment by 15 - 20%.
Removal of trapped dust from electrodes and gas distribution grids is mechanical with periodic shaking them with hammer blows.
In electrostatic precipitator can additionally be used:
· the option of shaking gas distribution grids under the action of gas dynamic pressure of flue gases;
· a variant of the device for pretreatment of dust (ash) by an inertial dust concentrator with η efficiency % = up to 25% built into the diffuser;
· option (mandatory) installation of a gas-dynamic screen at the output of the last field of the device;
· option to increase the width of gas passage of more than 400 mm with the mandatory transition to high-voltage power supply units with a voltage class of 110 kV and 150 kV.
The mass concentration of dust at the outlet of electrostatic precipitator is guaranteed to be no more than 50 mg / Nm³ in case of making choice of device’s dimensions by specialists of Ecotechengineering JV.
The climatic category of electrostatic precipitators is У, the category of placement is 1-3 and the execution is УХЛ, the category of placement is 3.2 and 4.1 according to GOST 15150 - 69. The electric filters are intended for installation in productions Г and Д according to SNiP 2.09.02 - 85 and correspond to the group of non-explosion-proof by PUE- 86
The seismicity of the installation area is not more than 7 points.
According to the terms of the order, electrostatic precipitators are equipped with modern motor-reducers which has increased reliability for mechanisms of shaking electrodes, power units, automatic control system and control of the electrostatic precipitator (industrial-control system).
EGU-type electrostatic precipitators can be manufactured with an electrode height of up to 16 m and upper, they can have an active cross-section area of up to 545 m² and a productivity up to 1965000 m3/h at a nominal gas velocity of 1 m/s.
At the request of the Customer, the electrostatic precipitator can be made for different productivity.
The electrode system can be made of stainless steel.

The internal mechanical equipment and the electrostatic precipitator housing are supplied with transportable units, additional equipment - in accordance with the installation design.
