Berdychiv machine-building plant "Progress" took part in the All-Ukrainian forum "Ukraine 30. Ecology", which was held in Kyiv from June 7 to 9 with the participation of the President of Ukraine.
On the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the forum "Ukraine-30.Ecology" was held on June 7-9, 2021. the purpose of which was to actualize issues of critical importance to Ukrainian society. Among the topics discussed at the forum are infrastructure plans, national health issues, decentralization, judicial reform, investments, energy, ecology and many others.
Global climate change is a challenge for all humanity, all countries, governments, and citizens. How to reduce industrial pollution, how to use waste correctly, prevent fires, use water efficiently - all these topics are discussed on the main site of the Forum.
The forum was opened by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, who noted the importance of combating global climate change and Ukraine's place in this process.
The main issues discussed at the forum are the prevention of industrial pollution, eco-control, saving forests from deforestation and fires, sustainable use of subsoil and restoration of damaged ecosystems, water resources of Ukraine, waste management, etc.
Among the main speakers of the forum are government officials, ecologists, public figures, specialists.
A lot of attention was paid to the exposition of the forum "Ukraine-30. Ecology", which presents modern equipment and technologies aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment.
Berdychiv machine-building plant "Progress", one of the largest domestic producers of modern environmental equipment, is among the participants of the expo.
The main activity of the "Progress" plant is the development and production of modern environmental equipment, which is widely used in the industrial and municipal sectors.
At the company's stand, visitors could familiarize themselves with the layout of the complex gas purification project implemented at the metallurgical plant of PJSC "Zaporizhstal". The plant's sinter machines were equipped with new, modern, high-efficiency gas cleaning units using bag filters and dry absorber reactors for cleaning sintering gases from dust and sulfur dioxide, meeting EU standards. This reconstruction made it possible to significantly reduce the man-made burden on the environment in Zaporozhye: dust emissions from the sinter plant decreased by 90%, sulfur oxide emissions fell by 50%.
A variety of gas cleaning and filtering equipment manufactured by the plant is used to clean industrial gas emissions from dust (various technological processes), sulfur oxides (SO2, SO3), nitrogen oxides (NO< sub>x) and other harmful substances, as well as purification of industrial and municipal effluents from harmful impurities.
The use of highly efficient gas cleaning and filtering equipment of the Progress plant allows industrial and communal enterprises to achieve regulatory concentrations of harmful substances in gas emissions and industrial and municipal effluents, as well as to significantly reduce emissions of pollutants into the environment, soil and groundwater.
The introduction of ecological equipment of the "Progress" plant makes it possible to significantly improve the ecological situation in cities and ensure the ecological safety of the regions of Ukraine.
In his interview, the head of the Progress plant, Artem Zaitsev, emphasized the importance of the mission assigned to the Progress plant in improving the environmental situation in the country.

He commented to the organizers of the "Ukraine-30. Ecology" forum about the features of the equipment and technologies presented at the exposition of the "Progress" plant.
In particular, gas cleaning equipment produced by the Progress plant, such as electric filters and bag filters, allows you to effectively capture various dusts that are generated during the burning of solid fuel or household waste, during the production of cast iron and steel. And the use of modern technologies for sulfur and nitrogen purification of flue gases allows to significantly reduce emissions of hazardous substances into the atmospheric air.
The positive experience gained from the implementation of the project on cleaning flue gases from dust and sulfur oxides at the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant allows us to speak with confidence about the high efficiency and reliability of the equipment of the Progress plant. And the complex implementation of such projects makes it possible to significantly reduce the time and money of customers during the design, manufacturing of equipment and construction.
